14. Something I'm reading

I love my Kindle. I really do. I miss a lot of the tactile pleasures of reading a book, but I love the ease with which I can read almost anything anytime anywhere.

For the record, I've just started Puccini's Ghosts, by Morag Joss, downloaded from my county library.

(By the way, if you can enlarge the image and read it, the one paragraph on this screen is simply an amazing piece of writing.)

  1. I love my kindle even though I sometimes miss the feel and smell of a "real" book. You just can't beat being able to travel with an entire library in your purse!

  2. My daughter adores her Kindle, especially on a crowded commute into central London.
I don't like the idea of it but I suppose I will submit to it in the end!
Do downloaded Kindle books cost the same as printed versions?

  3. Hi Alicia,

I bought my Kindle a little over a year ago. At first, I really liked it, but then I got an iPad and loaded the Kindle app. Love it! The Kindle is still handier to tote around, but when I'm home I prefer reading on the iPad.

That image was an interesting read. It's not something that you'd think about unless you were in that situation. Taking it a step further, what happens to our digital footprints after death? Most of us have so many passwords for all of the things that we do online that we can hardly keep track of them ourselves.
